  • January 14, 2013 meeting Please join us for an information session on the  Early Periodic Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment Program. The EPSDT is the child health component of Medicaid. It's required in every state and is designed to improve the health of children by financing appropriate and necessary pediatric services. Brian Campbell, our scheduled speaker, has years of experience working with and supervising programs for children with developmental disabilities.  Since 2005 he has supervised the EPSDT program.  The program has made extensive developments during this time to better meet the medical and psychosocial needs of children enrolled in Virginia's Medicaid program. Come to learn all of this and more:  What does it cover?  Who is eligible?  Why is it necessary?  How does ...

  • Christmas Party! The Arc South of the James Christmas party will be: Monday, December 10th @ 6PM @ The Colonial Heights Tech Center.  This year we are having a Potluck Supper.  So, get those cookbooks out and whip up your favorite recipe.  If that is not your cup of tea, a pizza, chicken or cookies works for me:) Some other food suggestions:  deviled eggs, vegetable tray, fruit tray, cheese ball & crackers, chips & dips, ham rolls, meatballs, casseroles, salads, cakes, cookies, & pies. Please make enough for your family plus a little extra to share.The Webbers' are bringing their famous chili:) We will be taking pre-orders for The Arc SOJ sweatshirts. The cost is $20.00.  We will also be having the ornament exchange ...
